Everything you have mentioned I agree with 100%, but going further into business blogging. Many website owners utilise their blogs in the wrong manner when it comes to business, and are simply trying to make their site more interactive and 'real time' with useless information. What many business owners need to do if offer some 'value' to their readers (like this blog) and give them a reason to keep coming back. In some cases, a blog will provide a persona for the website while doing this, which can work wonders with smaller businesses. But the amount of times I see business blogs that just contain endless pointless info about people in the company is astonishing, and never offer any real value or resources to their readers. An important issue that business bloggers need to get handled.
